Good food is one of the quiet pleasures of staying somewhere new. The area around Himley has an honest, unpretentious food scene — with a strong tradition of pub dining, a growing number of independent restaurants and our own hotel restaurant serving breakfast and evening meals daily.

At the Hotel

Our conservatory restaurant retains many of the building's original features and provides a relaxed setting for breakfast and dinner. The breakfast is a particular point of pride — a full cooked English with quality ingredients, included in your room rate. Evening meals feature a seasonally changing menu of British and international dishes.

Village Pubs

Several excellent pubs are within easy reach. The Plough at Swindon (Wombourne) serves reliable pub food with canal-side views. The Whittington Inn in Kinver offers a more formal restaurant menu in a historic half-timbered building. For a proper Black Country experience, head to The Vine in Brierley Hill — the rolls are generous and the beer is brewed on site.

The test of a good pub lunch is simple: would you drive there again? Around Himley, the answer is almost always yes.

Sunday Lunch

A proper Sunday roast is still one of the best meals England does. Several local pubs serve excellent versions — the key is to book ahead, especially during busy weekends. Our reception team can recommend the best options and help you reserve a table.

Further Afield

Stourbridge has a growing independent food scene with cafés, bakeries and restaurants worth exploring. Wolverhampton's dining offer has expanded dramatically in recent years — from street food markets to fine dining. Both are within a fifteen-minute drive.
